I’ve seen Aladdin three times in the last week and each time Phil has got better.

Whilst Phil was only listed as one of the musicians, I did expect him to do more such as singing and saying a few lines but this did not happen.

Phil does, however, play a wide variety of instruments during the show even though he is listed in the programme as only playing the guitar and he plays guitar, bass, banjo, flute, saxophone and some strange stringed thing that he plucked that looked a bit like a mini harp.

The costumes Phil has to wear are interesting to say the least, to me it looks like he’s wearing a yellow dress with black tights and stripy multi-coloured socks over the top of the tights and he also wears a long shirt and trousers in gold.

It’s just a pity that he’s not seen on stage more as a lot of the playing is done off stage but he is a valuable part of the panto.

I have booked to see the show again and I’m looking forward to seeing it again and Phil because even though he isn’t seen much what he does is wonderful.
